This oxford was originally part of a pair that was purchased during her time living in Paris in 2019 and quickly became well-loved. The West-Germany-made shoes were so frequently worn that the left shoe’s sole became completely detached. Rather than get rid of both shoes, and in order to preserve their sentimentality, Alice painted the sole of the right shoe.
Because of the shoe’s inability to be worn, and missing pair, this piece is not included in the ‘design’ section of her portfolio.
